Manufacturer Description
The Sashimi by Channel Island was originally designed for contest surfing in small or weak surf: wide tail for maximum speed over flat spots. Entry rocker is substantial with a single concave running the length of the board and a flat panel exiting off a winged swallow with low tail rocker. Order the Sashimi 2” to 4” shorter than your normal board and 1/4” to 1/2” wider.
WHO SHOULD RIDE THIS BOARD
If you have to ride really small, gutless surf, but you still want to go fast, this is the board for you. Or if you live on the Right Coast.

I have a Fred Rubble and New Flyer and I have to say, the Sashimi is still my all-time favorite board. Mine is on its last days and wish AM still made these. It's a classic.
