Great board, but not long enough for the lower waves to do noseriding.

Ridden lots of longboards, don't much like surftechs but the WIR makes a fine first board or travel board. All around solid board, rode one at the Ranch in Mex in easy 8' surf, worked fine.

Had this as a 9' since 2004. Ive had many boards come and go but this is the one i never get rid of. I've taken it all around the world, ridden slop to pumping overhead, as a trad single or a 2+1, Western Australia to Southern Baja, and it never disappoints. Fast down the line with a Strauch 5, stable nose rides, swoops off the tail, gives me groove. RA knows exactly what he's doing and if you're struggling with it, keep going! I LOVE this board and still ride it 3-4 times per week.

Amazed and suprised at the maneuverability of this board. Catches everything and allows me to noseride with ease!!!

A really fun board. I have a 9-4 poly model. Catches waves easily and noserides well.

Lots of fun, very versatile, but could be looser off the tail.

The WIR reviews here are an excellent example of how bogus this rating system is. The statements are very contradictory, except for the few which are accurate ......and how would you know if you haven't ridin one. However, anyone who rates the WIR as the #3 board in it's class.had better change the class name from "Longboards' to something else.

long board is too slow to turn

I have a 9 ft WIR. Horrible first longboard. Difficult to get into position and turn...and everything else. Extremely hard glass and extremely dangerous if it hits you...anywhere. Would never take this thing out in anything over 1 foot clean groundswell. Tuflites are notoriously slow.

This is a great board to start out with. I bought one 14 years ago and still enjoy taking it out there. The board floats well and is easy to paddle and stable. The extra little 3" kick in the nose helps to keep the novice from pearling and get into more waves. I'll buy another one of these boards in a heartbeat.

Looking for an easy paddling board for smaller waves & offshore wind.
