The Peak Performer by Gordon & Smith is designed for bigger, heavier surf. It is fast and stable on those big swells. It cranks powerful turns, but is still wide enough to noseride. Works best in chest to well overhead high surf.
60/40 rails blends into a nice edge in the tail for speed and for turns. Slight belly just in the nose, fades to a flat bottom, then into vee in the tail. Some extra rocker in the nose for steeper waves and later take offs. The dimensions are pulled in for speed and stablility on big surf. The rounded pintail gives it a clean carvy turn without loosing speed.
The Peak Performer comes with 3 stringers (1/4" + two 1/8" bass stringers with red glue), a gloss and polish finish, and a 2+1 fin setup with fins.
