Manufacturer Description
The Waterhog by Channel Island is a good wave catcher, this mini-longboard bridges the gap between the performance oriented M-13 hybrid model and our longboard line. Low entry rocker for trimming and enough tail rocker to stay high performance. Bottom goes from flat entry with concave, to vee out the tail. Al suggests riding this as a thruster, available from 7'0” to 8'11”. Can also be ordered as a single box with side biters.

Over the years I have owned both PU and several tuflite versions of this model. Had a custom 9'0 that I should have never sold because it was an amazing all arounder. Never cared for the tuflite versions until I found an older and heavier example of the 7'10. The extra weight gives it a bit of needed glide so it's now a keeper as it does work really well in southern California waves.

Excellent hybrid/funboard. I have the 7.10 in Tuflite and it catches waves easily and has been great to learn and progress on. Surprisingly maneuverable for how stable it is.

I surf a 6'2" Slater/Tomo Scifi all around and water hog for fun, ride 7'0" rusty joker for step up but need more paddle for double overhead conditions with major ripping currents.

If you dont know what funboard to get. This is the board you should invest in. You wont regret it. I have had multiple funboards, but this is by far the best

Good board but a bit slow and ponderous.

Paddles nearly like a mal, but much more responsive on the wave. Perfectly proportioned board allows for steep take-offs (unlike a traditional mini-mal), yet also catches fat waves with ease. Definitly works really well for non-barreling ankle to head high. Would not hesitate to buy another 7'10" tuflite "Hog".

Excellent when compared to other funboards. 7'2 Tuflite and it competes with all but the flattest longboards for 3 foot mush.
