Manufacturer Description
The M4 by Channel Island is a favorite with surfers on tour for riding small to medium waves: Flat entry rocker, increased tail kick, full rail, and single concave. The M-4 has a wider nose and tail, so ride this one an inch shorter and a hair wider if you surf mostly in small waves. The M-4 is considered one of the more forgiving boards in the line.

accustomed to round tail or rounded pin, but board stalls on rotations in the lip and doesn't seem to slide

i learned surfing a few years ago and was able to catch waves without too much trouble and was even able to do snaps on occassion, always had trouble doing a reverse bottom turn when i went too far ahead of the wave, i always seem to fall off the board mid turn like the board wasn't supporting my weight anymore. i was always afraid to drop into those steep/fast waves that were chest to head high. i stopped surfing for a couple of years and now wanting to get back to it.
