Becker LC-3

Manufacturer Description
The LC-3 by Becker is built 7’2" to 8’6" with widths in the 21 3/4" to 22 1/2" range, the LC-3 equates a superb paddling to performance ratio. FCS fin system... Standard weight double 6 ounce deck, and single six ounce bottom. Soft, thin 50/50 rails forward transitioning into a hard speed edge tail rail. All our boards are hand built (shaped and glassed) in Becker’s Hermosa Beach California factory The LC-3 is probably the most copied board on the market today. since 1980, Phil Becker has shaped over 10,000 of these unbelievably fun shapes-making the LC-3 the number one selling model in the history of the sport! although it has evolved and been fine-tuned since its inception, the basics of an all-around board have not been sacrificed.

Paddles like a log, turns like a bus.

Surfing 2 foot waves is really a lost art, and no board allowed me to shred these waves harder than this particular board. I am consistently able to find and ride the small barrels that come with a 2 foot wave on this board. Really cool that they offer customization as well, I have a life size Paul Walker fathead on the bottom of my board. Great Board!

I had Becker put a center fin box on mine and ride it with a cutaway 2+1 setup, it's much faster and gets on rail better than it did with the thruster setup! I love this board mostly for point breaks, for smaller days and even for big days on any open faced wave

Remove the center fin and ride it as a twin and you'll not only be the first one on the wave, you can spin this board around easily. My favorite board ever in a 7'6, until I broke it in half. I'm 6'0 190lbs, spent a good three years riding my LC-3, miss it so much I want to add another to my quiver for small and rolling days with no push. Great beginner board in thruster setup, go at least at 18"-36" longer than you are tall. Intermediate riders can go 6"-18" longer than your height.

The other ratings aren't applicable as of yet since I have not stood up yet. :(

Perfect next board to progress to after a soft top or 9+ longboard. A little stiff, but it carves better than a Wavestorm. I'm sure different fins will bring out more variety and different experiences. We shall see.

I love the LC3. Especially when you put the right fin set-up in ( FCS G-AM) Try it you'll like it!

The easiest to ride board I've ever ridden. Sit outside the crowd and take your pick. Try it at 3OH Ocean Beach, if you can make it out.
