Softops - It makes sense to ride a board that maximizes your fun regardless of the conditions. "What I Ride" utilizes a 60/40 rail configuration which, in combination with a nifty tear drop concave conveniently placed under the nose, greatly enhances your nose riding.

I have a 10 ft Surftech Softop and a 10 ft Blacktip. I surf 2-3 times per month but hope to surf more. What should be my next board to go to the next level?

Great teaching board for lightweight adults and kids. Design is based on a Robert August "What I Ride Model" so it actually turns and noserides well enough to keep an intermediate to advanced level surfer satisfied on smaller days. The only drawback with these boards is that the rubber coated rails will seriously chafe your inner thighs if you wear board shorts and surf it for any extended sessions. Other than that, it gets a two thumbs up!
