Manufacturer Description
The Round Nose Fish by Lost is the world’s all-time best selling fish model. During the filming of 5'5" REDUX, the RNF and RNF Quad were radically redesigned. After working with and watching so many team riders using these boards over the last year, changes were bound to happen. The nose has gotten wider again, and more conservative overall rocker and less concave make for a board that will hold speed in flats and produce harder, longer carves.
A longer, less pronounced, vee in the tail gives a more predictable feel out of turns, and a straighter outline adds drive and hold. The deep wing, influenced by MR's vintage twin fins, adds more control of high speeds and better bite in snaps and out of carves. It still paddles great, still makes you look good, but the updates allow harder, more powerful carving turns and a wider range of performance in more varied surf.
Enjoy playing with a multitude of fin setups. The RNF is designed as a twin with rear trailer, but works great as a pure twin fin or try all three standard thrusters for different feels in different conditions. Like a semi gun ...Everyone should own one.

6'4" x 21.5 x 2.75 just feels like a log as well as way too floaty

I ride this one 5'8" 19.75" 2.32" XTR . Great board.Carrys speed through flat sections, is able to draw out big carves yet can still throw the fins with ease. This is a must have,no doubt.

Need a board that can get into steeper waves without nose diving, but can still paddle well for a little kid to get into waves

Definitely a performance fish not a retro groveler. This is the model that helped put lost on the map in Southern California. Best ridden using MR twin fins with or without a small trailing fin.

Why would you ever order a 6'4" RNF? That's huge. Of corse it felt like a log. I have the 5'5" 19.5 2.25 and it carves great, rips turns and paddles past your dad's log.
